The Real Truth About Being A Golf Pro

Your dream job may be putting your natural skills to work, and if you’re into golf, you surely know about the money that certain famous names can rake in by becoming a golf pro. Out on the green under the bright, warm sunlight, slowly preparing you for that perfect swing that’ll send the ball straight down the midway to the cup. Doesn’t that sound like the perfect career? Maybe you’re the type that wants to teach the wealthy what you know, helping them to perfect their game while you earn an income from their lack of talent. You could just be someone who wants to become one of those big names, fame and fortune calling you and teasing you as you work some boring job in a routine of daily grind.

There’s far more than just sun, grass and talent involved in becoming a golf pro. In today’s society, everything has become a competition for bigger, better and more. Even the sports industry has turned into a sink-or-swim job market, where you need more than pure talent to rise ahead. Colleges and academies offer courses and education for golfing careers, which shows that just being able to play isn’t enough to land your dream career. Businesses who hire professionals to work in their golf complexes want versatile employees who know how to hit the ball as well as manage a team of employees and run a profitable industry. You need to have the right type of beginning skills to become a golf pro. If you’re determined to pursue this type of career, it’s a good idea to get an inside look at the job profile to see if a golf pro is the right choice for you.

Sure, the golf industry has a lot of money to spare. At $62 billion, there’s more than enough wealth in golfing to go around, but there’s also around 28,000 people working as golf pros or apprentices. Someone who wants to be at the top of their league, earning the title of golf pro to get a chunk of that cash, will need to put in long hours, have a good golf score and business skills, as well as a proper education to back them up. You have to be on top of your game and be able to play well to work towards a pro golf career. Most educational facilities only accept students if they have a handicap of 12.

There’s a PGA Professional Golf Management program you can enroll in, or you can become a student at one of the many academies and colleges offering similar golf pro degrees. You’ll need to have teaching skills as well, because a golf pro can sometimes be called upon to pass on what he knows to others and learning to teach properly is important. The highest dropout rate in golf programs occurs in the first year, when many students realize that there’s more than fun and games involved in earning their degree. A golf pro can be called on to handle many aspects in the golf industry and business skills are what propel you up that ladder of success.

Be prepared to end up in a position where you didn’t expect to be. Many golf pros end up teaching and coaching more than they do perfecting their swing, or managing golf complexes from the food industry located inside to the paperwork and planning of changes to the course. Essentially, you have to look towards being someone who helps others with their game instead of working on your own. Interpersonal skills are a must and you need to be a strong people person, as you’ll be working with many different individuals. Being a golf pro isn’t about being the best you can be, it’s definitely about making sure others progress to being better than they are.

How would you feel if you found out that the Apollo moon landing space missions were faked?
There has been an increasing amount of conjecture, rumor ,and speculation lately that the Apollo Moon landing missions were faked to satisfy the general public’s fantasy about landing on the moon and to continue the flow of money into the space program.
Would you hate the government for conjecturing such a lie?
How can anyone find out the truth about the Moon landings and if they were real or not ?
Why were the moon projects stopped ,and what happened to NASA after the challenger accident in 1986 with the school teacher?
If anyone has any credible evidence or links to prove or discount these latest rumors please post them here. Please don’t waste your answers on idiotic answers, you are only allowed so many answers a day.
Why hasn’t Neil Armstrong conducted any interviews since the first moon walk and why did he resign shortly after Apollo 11. ?
Did Americans really hit a golf ball on the moon?
Why is there so much secrecy ?
Here’s a video link to a short video clip i watched click on this link to watch if you want. It has some pretty amazing video clips and evidence on it .

There isn’t increasing evidence. It’s the same evidence. I’ve heard this theory since I was a little kid (I’m 35). My family believes that the moon walk was fake. Personally, I don’t. Still, it’s an interesting theory.

I think i would feel fine. With all of the news coverage ive seen about it being fake over the years has really made me believe it was fake. So if they just came out and admitted it was fake….i think id just feel the same.

There have been so many unanswered questions about the moon landings, so i wouldn`t be surprised if they told us it was a faked.

I wonder that myself a lot. The question I ask myself is-why if we went to the moon decades ago, and with our technology that has grown tremendously since then, why haven’t we been back in all this time??

how would you feel, if you found out that "conspiracy theories" are just that, a theory. Designed to give people with small, impressionable minds something to do. Kinda like playing fetch with my dog….here boy fetch!!!!!

I would hate the government, but the moon landings were real.
You can find out if they’re real or not just by the bad astronomer’s essay. http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html
They stoped shuttle missions because of funding, the danger, and they need to remodle the space shuttle
Neil Armstrong doesn’t want to, is that such a bad thing to not want cameras and journalists all over you?
Americans did hit a golf ball on the Moon
There is no secrecy, you’ve been deluded.

Why do you waste your questions on idiotic questions? You are only allowed so many a day.
Here’s a simple one, do you really think the every single one of the people involved would be able to keep this secret for so long?

I believe it was faked. We showed a documentary on a mauritian channel, they found many proofs, they think that it was a faked video that the NASA made, i mean the video that the world had seen when neil walked for the first time on the moon.

I was there moron. Right there at the Cape. Watched the astronauts enter the capsule.. watched rocket lift off… and helped monitor the landing. I’m an inveterate skeptic, and if a fake was perpetrated, I’d have been the first to yell it out loudly.

There will always be conspiracy theoroist morons like yourself. Thank God your numbers are few!

hey dude if it was indeed fake then the russians who were america’s greatest competitors(they tried to beat each other to the moon) would have been shouting out loud all the while. do you think they would remain silent??? they infact beleive in the american moon landing–just because they are scientists and they go by evidence and not by some dumb myth or story!

    dickn2000,
Just because you were there to see the capsule take off, doesn’t mean you saw it land on the moon. For all anyone knows, it could’ve just taken off and orbited the above atmosphere for a while, long enough for all to think it landed on the moon. Meanwhile, the so-called footage, could’ve already been filmed long before the scheduled lift off. I myself believe it was faked. The all powerful USA has to be the first at everything. Even if it means lieing.

I wouldn’t hate the government because ignorance is bliss and space is definitely the next frontier to live (or underwater.) Just think if the freakin world didn’t invest so much into the military, but space programs, etc. The twist would be that aeronautics/aerospace engineering can become miliatary weapons in the future! (kill two birds with one stone.)

I think that the only evidence would be to find the flag that was put on the moon.

If We hit a golf ball on the moon, it would fly out of orbit, quick.

What you call "evidence" is not. Bart Sibrel is an attention-seeking stalker, who only does these sensational videos to get press and money. He has absolutely NO scientific training or knowledge, and only uses edited video and sound clips that make it seem like what he is saying is right.

"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." – Albert Einstein

And people who buy into the Moon landing hoax myth are just that – mediocre minds.

go to http://www.nasa.gov for info on the Ares program. Ares will be our next shot at the Moon, this time not for political gain but scientific. We are looking to go to Mars, so we must develop habitat, life support, farming, and other technologies in order to make it feasible to go the Mars. New rocket technologies are being developed as well to be used, as conventional rockets are not very good for long range missions.

To close, don’t be a mediocre mind. Question everything, but don’t fall into uninformed obscurity.
