job application question."A high level of interpersonal oral skills?'?

This is a question for a job application, not to sure how to answer it. I know the oral is speaking, and I know what skills are. But the interpersonal bit I'm not to sure about. Does it mean are you good at talking one on one with someone?

That's exactly what it means. Speaking one on one at an intellectual (high) level. As in when you speak to upper management of a client.

I'd answer assuming they're looking for verbal communication skills with customers and co-workers at all levels (janitor & CEO). The best way to answer this question – really any interview question – is to use the STAR formula: Give them a Situation or Task where you had to demonstrate "a high level of…oral skills", the Action you took, and what the Results were. The more closely your example relates to the type of work you're pursuing, the better.

It is refering to the ABILITY to communicate well verbally in any given situation involving other people…are you able to use words well, to speak in a way that conveys your thoughts and ideas so that others understand what you are saying.

It is more than just "one on one" communication. It can refer to small working groups, giving speeches, or to sell an idea or yourself with words.

    I think Barak Obama…and NOT G.W.
